Why do so many people so readily believe everything the government tells us?
Why can't people make their own decisions, look at the facts and decide for themselves?
Why do people chastise others for trying to make their own decisions?

Why does no one QUESTION AUTHORITY???

"Think for yourself
Question authority

Throughout human history, as our species has faced the frightening, terrorizing fact that we do not know who we are, or where we are going in this ocean of chaos, it has been the authorities, the political, the religious, the educational authorities who attempted to comfort us by giving us order, rules, regulations, informing, forming in our minds their view of reality. To think for yourself you must question authority and learn how to put yourself in a state of vulnerable, open-mindedness; chaotic, confused, vulnerability to inform yourself.

Think for yourself.
Question authority."

Hey Hitman...did you know that our government lied about the whole Gulf of Tonkin incident that lead us to the Vietnam War. That's public knowledge...there was no battle that they claimed...its all documented in the Pentagon Papers!

Yes! Learn to listen and learn to read. That means listen to what is being said behind and under what is being said. And read what is written behind what is being written. Authority told us there were weapons of mass destruction. Authority told us the earth was the center of the universe. Authority has an unfortunate history of being just plain wrong. Many times. But we also learn from authority, as children, as students. But ALWAYS QUESTION AUTHORITY.

My guess? Intellectual laziness. Much simpler to let others do their analysing for them.
That way they get to enjoy a "My team is better than yours" mentality while patting themselves on the back for being "informed" about the issues.
In the old days, people earned degrees in Political Science before the networks would hand them a microphone to inform the public of their analysis regarding political events and governments. One could use their broader perspective along with their own personal studies and experience to come to conclusions on the weighty matters of state.
Now, it's all about ratings and money, so the more controversial and incendiary, the better.
Thoughtful debate and analysis has given way to flame wars and personal attacks.

"Why does no one QUESTION AUTHORITY???" Wrong , many people question authority, you however answered your own question with this one: "Why can't people make their own decisions, look at the facts and decide for themselves?"
Facts??? what facts? Half the facts have to be questioned, when you can no longer believe the "facts" that your freinds, family and governments spin at you, then you go in circles. You know the authority has to be questioned - but you know the facts are skewed. Most "imformed" people have half truths and distorted facts that they base their beliefs on.
I do agree Question Authority, however do not spew false information with half baked knowledge.

Why are you getting yourself prisoner of your submitted self? Arise awake. Feel that yuo have authority too. No one can impose authority on you if you do not want it.
If you continue to think along the lines you have written , I am afraid that you will remain prisoner of your submitted self.
Life is great and worth living. Open up yourself to the free world. Travel within yourself and discover how free you are.
