Look at some other players. They are persisted with till they succeed. Whereas, Mohd. Kaif, who is the best fielder in the team & raises the on-field performance of the entire team by a few notches just with his presence, is sacked even if his previous performance has been brilliant, just to give way to some other player. How long will this blatantly unfair attitude of the BCCI continue & is this how we prepare our boys for the world cup?

Mohd Kaif has been consitent in one field and that is fielding. His batting has never been fast and consistent. The order at which he turns up requires quick fire innings or a solid wall like performance. I am afraid those qualities are not there in Kaif. Though he has been a match winner on several occasions but still other fellows like Pathan and now Dinesh Karthik are better placed.

What he performed in recent times, he was the only man above Sehwag whom the selectors have kept in the team unnecessarily...that decision ended many cricketer's career like VenuGopal Rao & also held up Ganguly, Laxman, Dinesh Karthik, Badarinath.......

JUSt review ur question once. He has not been dropped reqularly. He has got fair chance, but he is not utilized properly.Thats is reason. Every body shuld be consistence. But just go cricinfo.com and see his performance in the last 20 ODI's. HE got more chances rather than other players. But he didn't take it.

Kaif is certainly a good player: he needs to be consistent, as would be seen from stastistics!

What do you mean "in spite of his good performances"?
The only time I've seen him play good was the Natwest challenge in 2002.
