it's very far - something like if you dig a straight hole like a tunnel deep down on tennessee soil, you'll reach Bangladesh at end of the tunnel

Well if you were to look at the map it just takes you two foot steps to reach Tennessee from any part of Asia.

In round numbers, about 10 thousand miles. The earth is approximately 20,000 miles in circumference and the midwest/midsouth is about halfway from central / south asia. Now this is +/- a few hundred miles or a thousand.
