To get lipo-dissolve, laser hair removal, or other similar procedures done just to make yourself look better when there are people who are literally starving to death in other countries and couldn't care less what they looked like?

Personally, I would rather do something worthwhile with my extra money than to try and be perfect.

That is and always will be a personal choice. if you choose not too, great...but you cannot fault others who disagree with you. There are many ways to waste money, not just cosmetic procedures.

It's unfortunate that the majority of the "Beauty Salon" & "Designer Label" customers are Narcissists and don't know it!
In fact, most commercials and pop songs refer to the Narcissist personality.
From Wikipedia:
Narcissism describes the character trait of self love.

The word is derived from a Greek myth. Narcissus was a handsome Greek youth who rejected the desperate advances of the nymph Echo. As punishment, he was doomed to fall in love with his own reflection in a pool of water. Unable to consummate his love, Narcissus pined away and changed into the flower that bears his name, the narcissus.

The terms "narcissism", "narcissistic" and "narcissist" are often used as pejoratives, denoting vanity, conceit, egotism or simple selfishness. Applied to a social group, it is sometimes used to denote elitism or an indifference to the plight of others.

So yeah- there are whole societies affected with this disorder while other societies are affected with more pressing matters- like where to get their next drink of water!

I think that has to be answered by each person. myself I like being who I am. Yeah it would be nice to be pretty but I am who I am.Hopfully people will learn to love themselves for who they are inside since that's all that really matters anyway. Good luck MAMA HEN

Yeah good point you make. But though we can think what we want to about other people's choices, we shouldn't criticize them. Everybody's entitled to do whatever they want with their money.

Well, it's your life. Personally, my looks are very low on my concern list, but like I said, it's your life.
