Well, as an experienced surrogate mother, of course I think they are GREAT!
Honestly, the decision to participate in surrogacy (whether it be as a parent or as a surrogate) is extremely difficult, but can be one of the most rewarding times in your life.
I highly disagree with those that posted before saying "most surrogates change their minds and keep the baby". While that may be true in actual adoption cases, surrogates go into the pregnancy knowing the child/ren they birth will not come home with them. Actually, I believe the statistic is about 7% of all surrogate births end in an "unfavorable" result; where more than 40% of the time, the birth mother changes her mind during adoption proceedings.
As I said before, surrogacy is a wonderful option to those wanting to start/expand their family. Don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions!

I love the idea. Actualy After I have my children I think I will become a surrogate myself. I know we had Mild fertility issues with our first pregnancy and currently with #2 that was an accedent. AND there are many women out there that struggle for a long time. SO I plan to hlep a few women out

im kinda with razi... Its actually kinda not a good idea. WHen ur pregnant, WHO is the one whose connected to the child growin inside her? the person who's carrying it. Most of the time, surrogate mothers have a hard time giving that child back up, becuz it was living and forming inside her, not anyone else.
I think ppl will try anything if they cant have a child of thier own, but i think they need to stop and think how it would affect the person who volunteered to help would feel having "partly" her baby taken away.. and if God wanted them couples who could not have any children to have some, He wouldve made it happen.
Just my thoughts..

I personally don't understand it... why would you want another woman carrying your baby? Why not just adopt instead of going through all the risk and trouble? I guess to each her own, but I would never go down that route.

I think they are wonderful people. Just make sure it is someone whom you really trust or that will sign a contract stating she wont drink, smoke, or anything else that could harm the unborn baby.

I think they can be wonderful. There are people who want a child of their own and for some horrible reason they can't.
They are selfless.
