I live in New York City and pigeons are EVERYWHERE! Where are the baby pigeons?

Pigeons usually nest in man-made structures (signs, under bridges, abandoned buildings). Baby pigeons are pretty big when they fledge (leave the nest) so you maybe don't notice that they are "babies." Young pigeons will still have a bit of downy hair-like feathers on their heads if you can get a good look.

Baby pigeons are never seen because their parents hide them.
The reason they hide their babies is that newborn pigeons are hideously ugly. This is because pigeons are the biological result of parrots mating with lizards. Nuff said?
