Hey, you are quite a deep guy.... really a great question looking like a simple one.

First I thought there was no need to think about an answer... it is of course no... money is useless to us if we are to die for getting it. Then it flashed in my mind that there are millions and millions of people risking their precious lives for earning money.... how about them... how come they seem to want to earn the money even at a risk of their lives?

Yes, it is possible to die for money... because money can almost translate into anything we want... for instance, if someone has been poor throughout his life, a chunk of money may mean a lot of sustainable happiness for his family which he may see no other way to get.

To answer your question, I would say that a person highly aggrieved by poverty could be willing to die for a certain large chunk of money, although that is just the way it looks while the truth is that the person is willing to sacrifice for something he believes that money can fulfil after his death. We do have a lot of strong desires beyond our own physical self.

There are only a small handful of reasons I would die - other than my heart stopping and my brain ceasing to function.

I would die to save a family member from death if I was able to.

I would die by unfortunate accident.

I would die from a sheer lack of interest in life itself. (But I don't see that happening.)

Money just doesn't rate high enough on my list of 'Important things in life'. As long as I have enough to pay my bills and have some recreation, I'm happy - no way would I die for it.

this is one thing a person can honestly say no, you can't put a price on life, you can't buy it, if a person is willing to die for money well ... they must be very sad people indeed unless that's the reason .... kill themselves to better their families lives by leaving them the insurance, it's a terrible thing but i guess it happens yeah? there's more to life than money i mean sure we need money to live (catch 22) but not excessive amounts, anymore than helps you to live comfortable is greed and who likes greedy people who end up being suspicious, grumpy people that don't see the good in others because they assume we are all like them hungry for all the money in the world, no i would NOT die for money i wouldn't die for anything unless it were for my children

"In this country first you gotta make the money, when you get the money then you get the power, and when you get the power then you get the women " Scarface
(you can replace women, by anything, you dream of and no offence to "women")
We are being too materialistic in this world,

"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. " Mattewh 6 19-21
"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?" Matthew 6 25-27

If I was dying, i would sell out for a small fortune. As long as i got to use it for so long before i died. Say I had three months to live. I would sell for a million or so and i would agree to die in a lil over two months.

No way.

But, I do believe that there are people out that who are in the process of dying for money. Working too hard, over extending their credit.....and being off balanced in the priorities of life.
