that when push comes to shove, most people are generally good at heart?
Example: Someone posted a question tonight asking if there was an online suicide helpline, and within minutes, not only was this person given several sites they could visit but also many offers from the nice people who answered who offered to chat one on one and help.
It makes me feel good to see this. How about you?!

I've noticed it, and I try to remind myself of it when I start to feel down. Look at all the stories we've gotten about the 9/11 tragedy. Yes, the terrorists were horrible people. But hundreds, even thousands of people showed their good hearts that day, helping others, saving others, and using their last minutes on this earth to place calls of love, not hate. We notice the awful people *because* they are the exception and not the norm. But it's sure nice to be reminded that it's the norm.

I have mixed feelings. Sometimes I read answers to questions that, frankly, I find frightening. I'm talking mostly about political or religious issues. I am also disturbed by some of the very angry questions and equally angry answers I see. But for the most part, I agree with you. Most people ar helpful and loving and caring. I think that's great. And thank you for commenting on it. That's great also.

I like to think so.
Still the cruelty of some people makes you think the other way.
I hear stories of people threateneing to commit suicide and people yelling " jump jump". One hopes the kind out number the cruel.

Yeah, its great to see that kind of thing..but I wouldnt say MOST people are good at heart..just a certain percentage..some would reply something snotty and evil to that..ya know how people are..so..yeah

yeah....I have noticed that and it does give me a warm fuzzy feeling inside...kinda makes you feel like you are never alone in the world....
