I think all blogs have the potential to be attractive to their target audience. It's just that the writer/author should know how to show them to people as what he/she would want his/her blog to be perceived. It takes patience and a lot of web marketing/ SEO work for people to be driven to one's blog. I think that this is part of blogging too. One should know how to market his own blog. Start by submitting your url/link to search engines and related directories. Also, you should join a related community, by which you could also promote your blog to same interested individuals.

Making your blog attractive should root from the design and accessibility of your website. Your site should download fast, and is easily readable.
