Sorry, I am not gay, but I wanted to answer your question. I have studied handedness academically for many years. I am currently right-handed, but am so b/c of cultural norms in Asia (as is the case in numerous cultures) where right-handedness is preferred. I am also the parent of two left-handed daughters. To date, medical experts have not been able to define precisely why some people are left-handed. The most popular theory has to do with stress on the pregnant mother that washes the unborn child in a testosterone bath causing left-handedness. However, in several studies, there are not many true left-handers. There are more true right-handers and mixed-handers than left-handers. There has also been a lot of research on handedness and gender in young children ages five to eight. Unfortunately, gender has been defined only as male and female not looking into the LGBTG arena. Several years ago, I proposed a study to a prominent university to study handedness in the LGBTG arena and I was denied funding. I will be watching your question to see what data it gleans!

As left-exceeded all and sundry is "precise-brained," i ought to chance a wager that there is a minimum of a fairly more desirable statistical correlation of atheists to left-handers than interior the final inhabitants. Atheists are actively bucking the "norm," and that takes creativity; creativity is strongly suitable to a precise-brained orientation, so i ought to assert there's a good threat they're more desirable in all probability to be left-exceeded. it must be thrilling to work out some data; per chance it is a good study topic for someone (or perchance it is already been achieved; were given any hyperlinks???) For myself: i do not extremely have a very-dominant hand; i'm Jewish (Reform).

I'm female, gay, southpaw.
My partner is: female, gay, right handed.
My best friend is: female, gay, right handed.
Her partner is female, gay, right handed.
Another dear friend is: male, gay, right handed.

Actually I know more Right handed gays/lesbians than left handed. Which is typical in both the gay and straight communities. I don't think there's a correlation at all.

male, gay, left handed
my partner is right handed
but I have noticed that it seems that a larger % of gay men and lesbians I have met are left handed than usual.
I too will be interested to see the results of your question.

Within the last month or 2 I remember seeing something on LOGO news that there was a study in England that showed most ambidextrous people they studied were bisexual. I found it quite interesting.

Right handed gay male. Haven't seen any research on this, but I think they're probably not connected. No relationship.
