Enrichment programmes and outing in schools?

Can anybody help me think in what way does Enrichment programmes and outings (design by schools) contribute to the community? Please give some exampless. Thanks!!

By going out into the community, students can see what it takes to BE a community. In turn, the people and businesses of the community can be a part of the education of students. These are, after all, the future workers of that said community.
