I have no idea how to answer this...

I suppose it's always nice to encourage people but when they're delusions, that's different. Just because people think they're great or envision greatness does not define them as a person. I know some people that think they're the greatest thing since sliced bread or they plan on it. I'm starting to think that it's a ridiculously absurd notion to try and be great. Greatness usually happens by accident. Some of the greatest people in history were shunned and ignored and a million other melancholy things... Just think of Socrates and how his community treated him.

Then again, encouragement often brings out the best in people. It gives the strength to go on, to keep trying, to not accept failure..

It's strange.

I guess it all depends on the nature of the delusions.

I think ignored. The delusional person really believes in his grandeur! lol! (I know quite a few people like that.)
