It hurts when I swallow, too. my head on the left side hurts a lot when i brush my hair or pull my hair by accident. Also..around my ear has this burning feeling and my ear is really sensative when i touch it. I don't know what this is..help???

couple possibilities. earache, strep throat, tonsilitis. I actually got an ear infection at the same time as the tonsil problem. my tonsils got infected and inflamed all sorts of lymphnodes on my neck and behind my ears that I never knew existed. Then my ears also got infected.

My ear aches are usually first noticed when my ear feels warm and really itches on the inside of the ear canal. It is usually very tender to touch.

I would seriously go see a doctor. They won't go away on their own. you most likely need antibiotics.

A swollen gland (your lymph node) is indicative of an infection. Your ear hurts because it is either infected, or it is experiencing referred pain caused by your sore throat. As far as your throat.....that could be infected as well, which would cause the gland to swell up.

I suggest seeing a doctor, especially if this doesn't clear up within about 2 more days or so, but it is up to you. You may need antibiotics for the infection.

this sounds like an abcess tooth get to the ER or Dentist or Dr if you can wait till tomorrow to get some antibiotics and pain meds. it can infect your jaw if it didnt already. I also think it could be your tonsils though a they both will do the same thing you also dont have to have a bad cavity to get an absess it could be very small. get it looked at asap!
