Led Zeppelin came later....they are not one of the initial invasion bands. They also have the disadvantage of me not liking them.

Oasis???? I don't even know what to say. The last time I saw Oasis, they were mowing Lyle's lawn...and he was taking nude photos of them. Click on the link for achewood. Scroll forward to see the rest of the story line.

Stones without a doubt...raunchy...innovative...every song had soul even when they tried to get "disco" (Some Girls). Lyrics weren't better than the Beatles but who listened to lyrics back then? It was all about what your body did on a sub or super conscious level. "Let It Bleed" their finest...the harmonica, the piano, the gospel back-up, the climaxes...supersensual/sexual.The first album I ever got high listening to. Played "Midnite Rambler" over and over cause the subtle change in rhythm in the middle drove me WILD. Is this REALLY Frank Zappa asking?

the bealtes hands down made the most impact on the music world, they were talented lyricists and had great knack for pulling chords that aren't complimentary and pulling them together. i get tired of them because i think they are overplayed and over worshipped, and once they got into their east indy stuff they just got way too wierd for me.

but if you ask my favorite, its definitely the rolling stones. i like a lot of the stones songs. my favorite would be hony tonk woman, the attitude of the lyrics flow so well with the rythm of the song.
