Many speakers lately are very concerned re: US turning into a Fascist-like country. Suddenly this orgBlackwater showed up on streets of Katrina armed, they are non-gov professionals for hire to help in out-of-order situations.

You are confusing law enforcement with anarchy. The ideal strength of the US (and the world) is our democracy. We can agree to disagree on issues. We have rights that people would die for in other parts of the country. Yes, we have disagreements on the war, but that's not going to rip our country a part! Being free is hardwork. Totalitarianism? Far from it!!! There is a high crime situation in New Orleans, but nothing remotely close to a facist-like society has taken place. Maybe you are confusing the non-govt professionals with roaming gangs that are breaking the laws and causing much of the street crime?

I'd rather not make blanket statements. The military-industrial complex has too much influence due to its business partnership with the American government, along with the oil industry overseas. These multinational corporations are supported by government with subsidies, contracts and influence in policy.

As far as domestic security goes, it should focus less on profiling at airports and more on controlling risky people coming from source countries and I am not talking about one region or another but in general, as in the U.K. there has been a problem with Russian spies coming in and in Columbia, the illegal cartels ship in narcotics all the time.

Yes but it will come from the media. Our media is no longer democratic government loving. It is no longer owned by nationalistic companies. You say so. What if they are no longer looking out for your good will but looking out for whats best for people of the world. What if whats best for people of the world is you to lose your job and your life. What if they believe that what is best for the world is for you to die, infidel? fear the unnationalistic media. Not they they shoul walka party line, but they should think America is a great country. and now they don't.
