Don't they know it's freaking crowded and they sometimes won't get a chance to squeeze in? Why don't they walk to the ends which are always less crowded?

It's not only the s'poreans who do this. I do see young pple in the crowds. But really, the first and last carriages are mostly young pple, while the middle ones have more eldery.

because people are too lazy to walk to the non crowded areas and saves them time to walk. and they know its squeezy enough and some of them will forcefully squeeze in even though there is no more space left!!! smrt should include more trains during peak hour so this kind of situtation do not happen again!!

As it make no different. I have try walk to both end or stay near the escalators, it's as crowded during peak hour. Don't forget Singaporean are well known as "kiasu", certainly they want to board the train fast, so , do you think they will choose not to walk to the end if it's less crowded? Maybe occassionally it's true both end is less crowded, but most of the time it's not.

Haha, which is the reason why I ALWAYS walk to the end. Have you noticed that the ppl in the middle are always the aunties or the middle-aged or families? Well, maybe they have difficulty with their legs and don't want to walk? Or maybe some are trying to get into the train last minute?
After living here for more than twenty years and wondering about the same issue for half my life, it doesn't bother me anymore. Sometimes, just practice a little more tolerance and understanding towards others and life will be easier.

because when they get off the mrt they don't want to walk a distance to the escalator. and they're too lazy to walk to the ends.

1st reason) Because some people might want to rush into train as train just came... So they will get into the nearest train...

From my experiences, i always walk to the middle platform and i see many people did that... when it's crowded, it's common sense to move to some where else that are lesscrowded...

When i travel around the world, same goes to them.... Well, it really depends, and can't just set your mindset when you see minority...

they are just a bunch of lazy, selfish, irritating souls. all they care about is themselves... they wanna be the first to exit the train, the first to reach the escalator, the first to reach office, the first to buy nasi lemak or fried char kway teow & hot coffee for their morning breakfast, the first to gobble down the food before the boss comes in. arrrgghhhh!!!!!!

Sheer laziness! Plus the normal Singaporean lack of consideration.
