I am from America and I must say we have been infected with poor (very poor) Leadership for decades.
We have all this promises and support for the third world Countries but feel that is not right to help the poor here in our own Country.....we have this theory that if we help the poor here we are helping the lazy!
We are a Country of self-centered - self righteous people that it has become sickening to watch what America call smaller more insignificant Countries become so much greater than ours in many different manners.....and whats worse is we will not even accept that as the truth!

No I will not tolerate that either. But I will as any good person correct my mistakes within my own family. That is what we as Americans should be doing. However we are dividing here and that is a shame because like the man said the only possible country that could come close to being better is Australia but they are not. This country needs to pull together as we have done before and stand shoulder to shoulder and fix our mistakes the best we can? No different than laying tracks on the railroad.
Not one of us is perfect in this world and once the Americans get off the defensive lines and group together as one and play football properly we too can be Super bowl champs. Go Bears! No offense but that is my team. And America is mine as well, that means you and all of the Americans as one. We will beat this if we wish to, we just have to be strong, and stop blaming people, and take responsibility and stand up and fight if necessary and not worry about what anyone says against us? Worry does not get us anywhere, but constructive criticism and common sense does. We need many to come forward to present the Congress with their solutions on our Health Care, on omitting health care funding for the illegals. Stopping the immigration from third world countries which are housing our enemies. Drag those people in who are a part of those groups and don't let them go until we get Bin Laden, I don't care how many there are lock them up. Open our prisons and let out the prisoners that are in there for stupid reasons anyway. That is a waste as well. Like a guy who has committed fraud on a credit card? How can he pay it back? Put a leg bracelet on him and make him work a job? Duh? We waste money on stupid trifling issues, too many busy bodies, that have nothing better to do but watch Jerry Springer and Oprah? ha ha

America technically refers to the two continents known as North America and South America. Though I am going to assume you mean the United States of America in your question.
It is a well known fact that the USA is royally screwed up. We have been for several generations. However, in all my searching of countries I find that we are still the best despite how terrible our nation is. The only one that seems to come close to being better than us is Australia.
At least their Prime Minister isn't willing to collapse his morals under the weight of all these special interest groups and is willing to stand up and speak against things that are wrong.
He is often sited for being 'anti-Muslim' but he is only against things that tare down their safety and integrity. He welcomes Muslims, but as with anyone, he insists that they still abide by the countries laws. If this is anti-Muslim than so is saying "Don't Tred on Me."

I'm an American, but I must say any informed and honest person would have to say that, the US, when compared to other first world nations ranks way behind in quality of living standards. We've really failed to be humanitarian or sustainable compared to many other places, including most if not all of Western Europe. Pretty embarassing for the richest country in the world.
