Ok Im in my late 20s and I think I still have identity crisis. Being flexible and playing the part has always been my forte. However, I feel I am defined by the kind of job I take and its stereotype. I noticed that people who knew me through different areas of my life have different conceptions about me. I am dynamic and spontaneous and I like fun but I feel like people just know bits and pieces of me and they limit me to just that when in fact, I am more. I want to make my true self more defined and I cant decide what and how I will do this and ultimately its really a matter of which skin I'm most comfortable at... until then... which one is better.. a sophisticate of a laid-back type of girl?

Are you a twice-shaven, black-tie kind of date or a stubbly face after 5 kind of fellow? A sophisticate will expect for you to be responsible for yourself in all that you do and say...futher there are matters that need to be addressed in the social obligations of dating. You may be expected to arrive to the nines and on time or up to 30 minutes prior to the designated 'date' time to speak with her parents on topics of interest to all of you -- while she adds the last few touches. At parties you will be expected to be courteous to all guests without lingering or stareing at anyone (especially other female guests). You will be responsible for being knowledgable about current events...world wide, as well as, community events. If you have not yet applied for some of the civic or fraternal organizations yet, what are you waiting for? She will be expected to speak positively and highly of you. You must earn the positive statements. Dating does not mean exclusivity; and, if someone equally appropriate is introduced (and you are not engaged), she may accept without any objection applicable from you. Holidays and birthdays mean gift exchanges. Being thoughtful, kind, considerate, and punctual should be second nature without much time wasted on 'how to be'. Sophisticates can be rather demanding; however, it is often worth it. You will meet people that are influencial in the community in which you live -- sometimes even beyond the anticipatable circles.

A 'laid-back' type of girl may or may not expect the same of you as a sophisticated type of girl; however, they will usually forgive your short-comings and accept you as you are (out of a sense of obligation). If you date them for several months, there could be some animosity associated with dating someone else--out of the blue. Whereas, a sophisticate would merely see competition as a challenge.

I'll let you decide which type of 'girl' you are best suited for because only you know what you are best cut out for. Also, your parents, grandparents, and anyone else you are related to will be of particular interest to a sophisticate and not so much to the 'laid-back' type. Take care...you are approaching that vulnerable age of feeling like it is time to 'settle-down'. Just know that there is no need to be in any hurry.

Do you vote republican more or less often than you do for democrats...or are you an independent sort of voter (playing the field)?

I like sophistication but id be wrong to tell you about how to be. Be yourself!

Those people who know bits and pieces of you are not your real friends. Clearly, they dont know how you are in all aspects of life, because they have not took the time to fully understand you. I dropped those kind of people because they were narrowminded in how they viewed me.

Screw everyone else and be YOU...

Neither is better. They are just different. People are not thinking about you as much as you are thinking about them. Have a nice day.
