Our weatherman showed us some pictures last week of a frozen Niagra Falls. It happened like in the 1920's or something. He showed some super cool pictures.

I saw a picture the other day on some show I was watching and it showed Niagra Falls frozen. It was a documentary, so I assume it was a real photo, but don't know when it happened.

i do no longer think of so. that's a extensive waterfall, even at the instant (the Niagara River has been dammed some miles upstream, so that's a smaller waterfall than lower back in the 1800s or so.) frequently, water shifting that quickly by no skill extremely freezes--it only keeps shifting. Plus, each and all the water might smash up any ice. yet then, the Buffalo area is loopy chilly, so if a huge waterfall have been to freeze over, that ought to be a competent guess.

in 1911 the bottom froze, but they continued to flow.
in 1948 there was an ice jam in the niagra river that ALMOST stopped the flow.
but, in 1932, the winter was so cold that the falls did indeed freeze COMPLETLY SOLID!!!
