Why does electromagnetic Radiation not need a medium?

Question

explain why and also explain a way to prove that EM radiation doesnt need a medium. It could just be an idea not something that you would do physically. Please answer this question as soon as humanly POSSIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!! onegia?

You must have some concieved answer that you are looking for. Perhaps just a varification. Electricity, Magnetism and Gravity are all the same whether you choose to understand it as being so I care not. As in electricity: It consist of three parts which makes up a circuit of Voltage/Ampreage/Resistance. Magnetism is of three parts: Negative & Positive. Gravity is of three parts: Transmitter, Reciever and Slave. Note that I have written the negative & positive in such a manner that "&' is a separate but equal force. The Power of AND is in the helix. All matter is of the TRINITY, whether it be the electron, neutron and protron. All matter is of three forms, solid, liquid or gas. Do not accept plasm as a form of matter. It is a mixture as much as mud and slush. Electromagnetics is all that is matter, IT IS THE MEDIUM.
Proof: Take two Placard Magnets, (the flat magnets that have signs painted on them). Slap them together and gently pull. One of two facts will be obvious. A a smooth pull or a jerk. The smooth pull is a match of Negative to positive, the jerk is Negative to negative or positive to positive. Secondly: place a bar magnet on a wood table top. With another magnet bring near to the other. Again two responses will be seen. Atraction or repulsion. The repulsion will result in the flip or better yet Helix in which the negative will orientate to the positive. Gravity: Place a magnet of suggestived size 6" X 6" x 1/2" on a wooden table. Hold a knife blade above and cup a metal ball (bearing) in the palm of your hand over the plate magnet and touch the blade to the ball. Remove the hand and the ball is levitated. As per table top science, the plate represents the Sun, the Blade, Earth and the Ball, you on Earth. Take a ring magnet and break it, join the parts and you will have your Epiphny. Understand that the medium which you may discribe as SPACE is the magnetic field. It is the Aether. The HOLY Spirit, Dark Energy, Dark Matter, Black Hole.

Electromagnetic waves are periodic changes of electric and magnetic fields in space and time. Asking why such waves don't need a propagation medium is like asking why the electron has an electric charge, or why a top quark has a mass of 189, or why the Big Bang happened, etc.,.

The Michelson-Morley experiment was the first to prove that electromagnetism doesn't need some sort of medium for propogation. It's a complicated experiment, so check the discussion (..with graphics..) on this website ==>

I don't think you can prove that radiation does not need a medium, as that would answer a lot of cosmological questions if it can be proved that it does need a medium, as that medium must have mass and therefore gravity and would be detectable.

As poster stated above, light/radiation travels through space and space is vacuum as we know it. But we have not been able to prove this. But if there is a medium (ether, as prior century physicists proposed), this medium would be something like dark matter/energy which affects other matter and therefore be detectable.

The answer lies in the name itself, like any other wave propagation electromagnetic waves travel by creating disturbance (or say fluctuations) while it propagates.But the diffrance b/w som physical ones (lik sound,waves on a string etc.) and a EM wave is that it travels by creating a fluctuating (oscillating) electromagnetic field,and thus requires no material medium.

A Electromagnetic field is composed o mutually perpendicular electric and magnetic field.

BUDDY,For such a experiment u would be required to produce a vacuume.Rather the sunlight reaching earth transcending the huge vacant space is a natural proof o the theory.

sunlight is em radiation and u know it comes from space in which no particle exist means vaccum hence this proves that em radiation can travel in vaccum or without medium
