Anything by the Ramones, Adicts, or Johnny Cash. Most stuff by the Misfits, and a lot of stuff MxPx and the Huntingtons. Most songs are easy as long as you have tabs. There some sites that teach you how to play a good variety of songs as long as they are by popular bands.

Anything by nu-rock crap like Bizkit, Korn, Slipknot, Linkin, etc. Crap like Blink 182 is easy too.
@ beaver: Smoke on the Water is difficult, actually. I think you're talking about the famous main riff, and while that riff is fairly easy, the rest of the song is impossible for beginners.

if you like rock, go with some of the early punk stuff like green day (especially their early stuff) or blink 182 is good. it depends on what you're into because a lot of the older country is really easy because country uses the simplest of chord progressions.
