I'm seeing question after question from "the other woman" where once the affair has ended, they think they "owe it" to the wife to tell them. Are these people just itching to complete the homewrecking job they began with the affair, or what?

I really think that these women are feeling bitter about their inability to get the man to divorce their wife. So they are feeling like revenge is the way to go. NONE of these women have the best interest of the wife at heart. IF they did, then they wouldn't have partaken in an affair with the man involved.

Well they certainly didn't feel the need to "owe it to the wife" and stay out of the hubby's pants, so I am thinking they are just mad that it is over. It would have been kinder to let the wife know what the husband was interested in before making a move with him. If someone honestly ended the affair because of some sort of epiphany on how wrong it was, I can see the desire to wipe the slate clean. However, I don't think that is the standard for these types of needs to let the wife know.

Some people tell the wife/husband about the affair they have had I think because they feel so guilty about what they have done & think telling or "being honest" about the affair will actually make them feel better.
However... some people just want to finish the job they started by breaking up a marriage. Some people even think the man/woman will leave their spouse for them if they tell.

It is my opinion that a woman would only tell the other if she thought that she would somehow break them up. If she managed to bust up the marriage or relationship then the guy would have no one. In her mind then he would run back to her. Most women don't understand that if he loses that woman...(and maybe he should), he will only be angry, therefor never coming back to her anyways. How about getting to know someone first, knowing their circumstances before getting to involved. Then maybe the situation may be avoided. If he cheats and neither woman know...then maybe it would be acceptable. But if he cheats and the accomplice knows she should keep her mouth shut, as she is just as guilty. I have been the woman cheated on..let me tell you it does not matter how you find out, if you believe the relationship is sound and monogamous then it hurts like h*ll. In the long run be it male or female if you feel the need to cheat be a stand up person and get out of the relationship first.

To put this in better perspective for us guys, imagine the reverse: a guy wanting to tell another guy that his wife was unfaithful...because he owed it to him.

Yeah, that would happen.

It's definitely a female thing. It's all tied up in a warped sense of sisterhood, pride, catty-ness, and just downright mean-spiritedness.

But, this is a good lesson for guys. If you think you can get away with it without your wife finding out, think again. Chances are quite high that the little tramp you took for a spin is going to ruin your life by either discretely revealing the affair to your wife or shouting it from the rooftops.

Yeah, that's kind of like the Fatal Attraction movie isn't it?
The way I see it...if you enter into an affair as the other woman...
you had better be able to handle all that an affair entails...including the breakup.
(which they need to understand going in...is pretty probable, as not alot of men leave their wives for the affair...it's an affair!)
The only acception I can see is if the married man lied and told the woman he wasn't married, then finding this out could lead to who knows what!
Affairs are meant to be discrete....shhh...don't tell.....

The "other woman" does this to release some of her guilt she has from the affair, as well as try to keep the man from going on with his life without repercussions of his infidelity. "She" feels like she has been robbed of false promises to leave the "wife" or "girlfriend" the man used to get close to her and gain her trust. Whenever someone is having an affair promises are extremely hard to keep and therefore turn into disaster later on. Truth!

thats what it sounds like to me. i dont think they think is the problem it is revenge for the man saying goodbye and making them feel like ****. but what they dont understand is how it makes the wife feel and that most of these dwfoman all know the man is married and still persue them so what does that really say about the other woman. to me the are insecure and cant find a man who want to marry them so they have affairs with married ones thinking that they divorce them and they dont so they feel used but they never in the whole time think about what it does to the other woman if it hapopend to them how would they feel.

Its an ego boost for a woman to take a guy away from another woman. Kinda pointless if noone knows so they make sure they get the credit. You can find examples of this in the most base areas of society. Walk in any small town bar in arkansas and a woman will hit on you. If you walk in with a woman, every woman in the bar will hit on you. It builds their self esteem.

I think it's because after the other woman has been ditched, she suddenly feels loyalty towards the wife, whom she helped cheat on all along.
I know, it doesn't make much sense, but then again, I have always believed that people who cheat must be among the stupidest people on the planet.
