As stated before, Switzerland is in central Europe close to Austria, Italy, and Germany. That's a few thousand miles north-east from South Carolina. Locate the continent of Europe. Now locate Italy, which is on the south shore and is shaped like a boot. Switzerland is in-shore, just northwest of Italy's border. It's bordered by France on the West, Germany on the North, and Autstria on the East.
