At random times, my XP Pro computer just crashes, with no screen message whatsoever and I hear a click. Then, I reboot and it says its recovered from a serious error and wants to collect information. This is after a fresh install too.

I've even flashed my BIOS to the latest version and tested the memory using MemTest86 with both sticks of 1 GB DDR2 800 MHz passing. Anyone have any suggestions on what to try next?

I've tried multiple hard drives too. Same thing, random crashes.

From my experience it's most always the video card; though, overheating can also cause this issue. By default, Windows XP doesn't show the blue screen of death when video card issues happen. Instead, it just restarts. If you want to enable the blue screen of death for Windows XP, right click on My Computer, hit Properties, Advanced Tab, Startup and Recovery section, Settings, and under System Failure, uncheck Automatically Restart.

You may have a spyware infection.
Do you have a good anti-spyware program.
This is one of the symptoms of spyware/adware/malware etc.
Try a free scan or trial from a reputable company.
I do recommend CounterSpy.
