You and that somebody might be talking about 2 different things. You're probably wondering if the sea has a bottom, and yes, it does have a bottom. The average depth of the oceans is about 2 miles, although some places it's almost 6 miles deep. That "somebody" probably thought you were talking about possibly sailing to some edge of the sea, when in fact it's possible to sail completely around the world.

The earth is spherical so there is no technical beginning and end to the sea. There's no physical place that you can visit that would be considered the beginning or end to the sea. If you are looking for a way to measure the sea, you might want to consider researching the approximate volume of water contained within it or even the surface area of the globe that it covers.

the sea is just a constant, with no end or begining. I guess you could say the bottom is the end from the surface.

God!! you got me all confused.
Earth is not a 2 dimentional round, it's a globe. What do you mean by saying the sea is inside the earth?
Can you be more specific please.

OK. Well, when they said no, the earth is round, they meant, no, the earth is a sphere, or a three dimensional circle, which is round, and has all it's edges connected.
