Of course it matters to some degree. How much depends on the women, the situation, and her individual preferences and experience (and thus expectations). Really most women haven't experienced enough variation to be able to form a preference (since most men are 5.5" +/- an inch, although smaller or larger sizes are perfectly normal).

Many women (even the minority with a preference) will be satisfied with 'nearly' any size since there are much more important factors that go into a romantic relationship. See article at: http://health.msn.com/centers/mensexualhealth/ArticlePage.aspx?cp-documentid=100104853 Women (and men for that matter) seem to adapt their preferences somewhately towards (any) features of their current romantic partner. For instance a women may find tallness in men ideal, but if she falls in love with a short man (for his other desirable qualities) she will say his height doesn't matter. To say it doesn't matter 'at all' is usually a white lie (but a quite sensible answer).

For a one night stand (or not in a romantic relationship) penis size is more likely to be of importance ('if' she has a preference). Although technique still is of greater and overriding importance (duh, of course).

One study asked college women whether penis length or girth was more important for sexual satisfaction. Everyone answered with a preference (mostly for girth), which would contradict theories that size makes 'no' difference. Study: http://www.pubmedcentral.nih.gov/articlerender.fcgi?artid=33342

Another study concludes that there is a significant 'minority' that place substantial importance on penis size. Study: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?itool=abstractplus&db=pubmed&cmd=Retrieve&dopt=abstractplus&list_uids=12429149

Size matters, but men need to look at things realistically (the big picture). There is no certain size that all women find ideal (most don't have a set preference), and women will typically accept any shortcomings of their ideals if they are otherwise satisfied. So guys don't need to worry about (penis) size as much as they do (or any other innate and normal physical attribute for that matter). Best to concentrate on factors you have some control over (such as sexual technique, personality, grooming, diet/fitness, etc...).

to hell with all that googled crap above me, I'm a female and I can tell you quite honesty, no size aint worth a dam, it dont matter at all if you dont know how to use it. it's not what you have but how you use what you have, how long you can last, how horny you can be, how creative you are, how much fun and loving you are and if your any good with your tongue or not, thats the simple facts in my opinion!

Size only matters if you think it matters. In fact, it's what you do with what you've got that's more important than size.

Average erection size = 5.5 to 6.5 inches.

I used to think so, but after a careful study, I've found, its not the size of the wave, but the motion of the ocean. (ok, dumb cliche, but Its so true)

not really.
if a guy knows how to use it, it doesn't matter at all, but if he has no clue what he is doing, then yes it can at least be big.

Yes if you are average that is fine. But if you are small and not wide ............ It all depends how important sex is to a person.

If you are talking about penises (or possibly breasts). That question has been asked to death. Try asking another question. Also, it's good for everyone here to check the questions that are resolved, first, before asking. I know it's fun to see what people say but don't beat a dead horse.
