Any Ideas out there?

I have to write an essay. My thesis is going to be based around the question of what was more effective, Martin Luther King's "Letter from a Birmingham Jail" or his speech "I Have a Dream"? Any Ideas as to what points i could hit on?

The "Letter from Birmingham Jail" might be less overdone. Just a thought. Research it and pull out all the things that made the experience important for both the Nation and Martin.

You could write your paper as if it were MLK's thought as he was experienceing life during the time he wrote these two pieces. You could talk about how he was feeling on a personal level.
