The following teams have a definite chance:
Buffalo- the only reasons they didn't make it to the Finals last year was because of injuries to like 4 defensemen against the Hurricanes in Game 7
Vancouver- Go Canucks Go!!! I come form Vancouver and love the Canucks. Anyways, if the Canucks can keep it togther long enough from now until April then they will have a easier time in the first round of the playoffs. With Luongo who's the best goalie in the league they can win. Nazzy (Naslund) doesn't score as he used to but others have stepped up and goals go around so that is not a problem. Maybe if they get a vetran defender at the trade deadline then the Nucks are ready to roll!!!
Anaheim- this team was hot at the beginning of the season and have cooled down a bit. But watch out they could make a run for the Cup if Gigure gets hot.
Nashville- this team is the team that has it all. From goaltending to defense they have it. It's their balanced four lines that kill other teams. Nashville is a good bet, no kidding!
Calgary or Edmonton- Either of those Alberta teams because both teams get in your face and play a gritty style of hockey which wears down your opponent. Plus both teams have pretty good goaltending.
Personally I would love to see a Canadian team win the Cup after 18 years!

From the West
Anaheim - they are stacked, ignore troubles of late Pronger will be back and Giguerre is already back those were two big injuries
Detroit - if Hasek can remain healthy
Nashville - if they stick with Mason in net
Calgary - just because Kiprusoff can get them there by himself
San Jose - likely to move one of those goaltenders b4 deadline, and that will return a solid forward or D, to add to an already solid team
From the East
New Jersey - see Calgary reason and increase chances because of Brodeur
Buffalo - all around good team
Ottawa - incredible offense solid D, Emery in the playoffs will be the ?
If you forced me to pick right now I would have to say Buffalo vs Anaheim in the final
Yes but they are nowhere near the same team they were last year, a lot of younger players have improved and the addition of Proger was huge, with the minutes him and Nieds are capable of
Nieds averaging 27:47 and Pronger 26:47, if you split them up you could potentially have one of them on the ice at all times.

Anaheim Ducks - Chris Pronger, J.S. Giguere, Teemu Selanne, Scott Niedermayer, Andy McDonald, Ryan Getzlaf, Chris Kunitz, Dustin Penner, Francois Beauchemin...pretty solid reason...but also the fact that the Ducks when healthy are about the best team out there.
Nashville Predators - the hottest team right now and you can't argue with that
Buffalo Sabres - very talented team that almost made it last year
San Jose Sharks - Joe Thornton, Patrick Marleau and Jonathan Cheechoo...need I say more
Detroit Red Wings - they are the Red Wings
Vancouver Canucks - Luongo definitely gives the Canucks a chance
New Jersey Devils - Brodeur
Carolina Hurricanes - the reigning NHL champs
Ottawa Senators - so much potential

I don't think you can ever count the Detroit Red Wings out despite miserable showings in the play offs lately and a slew of injuries. The Ducks are a force to be reckoned with for sure. I'd like to see Buffalo get in the finals for the East.

This incident befell for the period of a flag soccer interest, there have been some video games taking place in diverse fields, and then each thing purely stopped. became out a koala had come working around the fields from some interior of reach bushland and became into all startled, so every physique purely in reality iced over and so did the koala. it is going to actual left decrease back to the bush, even nonetheless it became right into a stable 5 or so minutes before that occurred.

The Dallas Stars are goin to the cup, becuase they are getting Mike Modano and Brendan Morrow back soon. And for the east im gonnna go with the Boston Bruins because they have played really good hockey and they seem to control the east.
(the ducks might beat dallas, but highly unlikely)

I would love to see the caps make it to the play-offs. They try the hardest and have the most passion but their talent hasn't caught up to them yet.

If they successfully get Petr Forsberg form the Philadelphia Flyers.... and they should be able to...... The New York Rangers.
He is the missing peice of the puzzle. The sniper they need, the plowhorse to feed Shanny.
