Go for the Gillette Mac 3,being using these for several years and also good for the facial. The electric will gives you bad odour after some time.

I prefer razor better. I bought 2 electric shavers before but they don't come close to the razor. Furthermore for electric shavers, you need to change the blades once you find they are not as sharp as before. You can also use shaving foam to help smooth out the skin while shaving. For electric shavers, you can't.

I started using an Electric Razor from High School. Compare to my friends that used razor, my hair did not grow back as thick. My Norelco Razor died... always used Norelco - good quality. The electric razor was good when I was in a Rush to get to work. Eventually it caused razor rash (red bumps) on my neck. I now use a triple edge hand razor. They do give a closer shave then an electric razor.

I find that the razor gives a closer shave, but I haven't used an electric razor in the past 15 years, so they have probably improved along with the regular razors.

That is a personal preference. Some men use both. A razor gives the closest shave possible.
I personally like Norelco 9190XL SmartTouchXL Shaving System which sells for about $200.

Most electric razors do the job. As for as regular razor or electric, depends on what you expect from a shave. Not much different , so says my brother.

Personal preference. I am a blade man myself. Tried electric a few times over the years - just not as clean as a blade. If you are shopping blades it makes sense to fork out some extra cash for a good on - cheap disposables are prone to cutting. I don't think the cream makes much of a difference however. Most of the gels cost 3 x's as much, shave worse and dry my skin out.

I think the electric shaver will give you that close shave.
