Every other week I have to send my 7 year old daughter to spend a week with her mother, my ex wife. On the night before she goes, she usually cries and has a very hard time because she doesn't want to go. I hold her, calm her, read to her, pray with her, and gradually calm her until she falls asleep. Then I go to my room. That's where I let it out. Do men cry? Yeah. We do, but it wouldn't do for her to see her Daddy cry.

Yes men cry as well as anyone else. It is very healthy to cry. Tears are cleansing. Just watch the news and see the soldiers leaving families behind, they cry and have every right to do so.

No, never as much as girls. From the time they're little boys they learn to control their emotions. Everyone, even guys cry in extreme situations. But where we just let it out, they try to keep their emotions in check.

Usually not as often, but "healthy" men usually still cry sometimes. When things get really bad, and they're more likely to while alone.
(I specify healthy, because in depressive episodes I'm sometimes physically unable to cry despite wanting to. And in others, there's lots of crying for no reason).

well, guys too have the same emotions as girls. but right from his childhood, a boy hears " boys dont cry". this idea inculcated in them doesnt leave them when they grow up. they think tears are not for them but for girls .they r taught that guys are meant o be strong and take care of the weak girls or women.sometimes they may not want to upset others feelings too.there are times when a guy wants to cry out to soothe himself but simply cant thinking that when he iscrying others will have a low opinion of him. during personal grievances like death, separation etc, a woman will cry her ehart out which will bring her relief and which will help her to cope wth the new situation soo. but guys dont do that. they try to suppress their emotions. they try to hide their grief behind a fort of anger, which may lead to new problems. so i think guys should not hide their emotions. as an answer to ur question, i will say that ofcourse some guys do cry, but others do not in the name of something silly like opinion of others.

Yeah most guys cry, just has to be something worthy of crying... example losing a loved one, being cheated on, or getting kicked in the nuts really hard. No guys don't cry about breaking nails, or our hair getting split ends!

Girls are typically more emotional than guys. That's just the way it is. But I've seen my boyfriend cry plenty of times- and I don't like it; it makes me sad. :(

As for me,"YES".......It is normal to us human thet we cry;but not all the time.We cry only in such reasons. But majority, girls do cry almost the time than boys.We can't just say that only girls do cry but ofcouse the boys do cry also.Only that, when boys cry, they "HIDE" because they don't want to be seen by others. They cries "PRIVATLY"..............

yes. since they have tear ducts, they do cry. unfortunately, most men have been brought up to "be a man", and "stop being a sissy", when they cry. it's wrong to bring a child up that way. i've seen my husband cry, and i think sometimes we all just need a good cry.
