I am a night owl. My husband works nights, so I'm kind of on his schedule. Anyway, I like to sit up in my bed and read late at night for a couple hours. I have a digital clock next to my bed and for no reason at all, I'll glance over at it at certain times and it's always like 1:11 am or 2:22 am or 3:33 am. It kind of freaks me out a little, but at the same time, fascinates me. I never look at the clock hoping to see some weird time. I forget about it until I look over and it's happened again. What do you suppose this means?

Hi, do nt freak out. It can be given a sane explanation. All of us have this biological clock running in our head. For some people, it is very predominant and observable. For me, for example, when I go to sleep, sometimes, I will tell myself " I have to get up at 6 " ( it is like midnight for me :D) for some specific work. I have never been conscious about getting up, but believe me , I have gotten up all the time whenever I had thought of getting up at some specific time. For me it is always round numbers, like 6 or 7. Similarly why cant it be some numbers which follow a little complex pattern as yours?
Though this is not the exact case to compare ( you are awake and I go to bed ), my point is , there is a clock running at the back of your head always.

I think being a clock watcher, you instinctively become routine. try this the next time you want to look at the clock, wait a little longer an then see the difference.

It means you're conditioned to looking at the clock exactly every 71 minutes. Beyond that I don't really know, but yeah, it is a little creepy, isn't it?

I think it means nothing....the 24 hours a day thing is a manmade method of keeping time...if it meant something divine you would have to figure out the divine way of time keeping then look for clues.

Your brain is trained to look at it at those same times, because you looked at it before at those times, so it remembers. It's kinda like you want to wake up at 6 am , so you bang your head 6 times on the headboard, and you bake up at 6 am
