In general, vague/random thoughts of killing others is probably common. But if you were to find yourself thinking about killing consistently day after day or developing a specific plan to kill, well that's a bit different and I would think not normal.

You seem to have a lot of random thoughts! Either that or a lot of questions for a class or something. As for thoughts of killing people...it might be considered normal to teens from certain areas (inner city comes to mind) that have a lot of prejudices against different groups and the such (you should really see "Freedom Writers", you'll know what I'm talking about!). I don't think most teens (and I am one) have serious thoughts of killing people very often. And even if it is considered to be "normal", it's definitely not right!

I have had many thoughts of killing people and they have been people I truly love and care about. But whenever I discussed it with my therapist, I'm told that as long as I feel I wouldn't actually do it, just to ignore the thoughts. Usually right after I have the thought, I ask myself, "Why would you think that. That's just horrible." But I do know down deep I would never be able to hurt anybody. And, of course, my therapist is the only one I've told. My therapist says a lot of people have thoughts like that, just don't ever act on them.

Yes, under certain circumstances. What I mean is that its OK to be so angry at someone you want to kill them (like a boss or whatever). However, if you seriously, really want to kill them, then you should get to a psychologist.
