It stings a little and your skin is red for a good thirty minutes after, but it beats the alternative - looking like a two giant caterpillars are sleeping on your forehead. I have my eyebrows done professionally about every eight weeks (I pluck in-between visits as needed) at my local hair salon. I pay eight dollars each time I go in. It is so worth it to have someone do it that knows what they are doing - they will know what shape will compliment the shape of your face - tried to do it my self one - AAAGH! - burned all the pictures! Good luck - JUST DO IT!

Getting your eyebrows waxed is MUCH better than plucking. And it doesn't hurt nearly as bad. The only thing is that, if it's your first time getting them waxed, be sure to do it a few days before an occassion- if that's what you're getting them waxed for. Like, back when I was in high school, I decided to just get my eyebrows waxed RIGHT before the homecoming queen parade- my eyes were SO freakin red. It was kind of embarrassing. Make up didn't cover it very well. So give yourself at least 2 days.

It Doesnt hurt At All, Its Less Painful Than Plucking. Its Fast. And It Shapes Your Eyebrows Really Nice, but You should Go To A Spa And Get Them Done There First Before You Start Doing them Yourself

everyone has different pain tolerances, but i have it done once in a while and its not that bad in my opinion. it actually feels kinda good when they put that nice hot wax on you. its relaxing. but it doesn't hurt that bad when they take the hair off. you feel it for about half a second, then it goes numb and your fine. but ive discovered that the skin under your eyebrows is a lot more sensitive than any other part of the brow. the only part i hate is when they dont get it all out with the waxing so they start plucking to finish it up. thats the worst because at least the waxing gets it all done at once. but other than that...the more you do it, the more you get used to it. and you might want to tell them how you want to shape your brows so it looks right for your face (you could always just tell them to clean you up a bit if you dont want a huge change)
oh and i make a point of tellin them before they even start to not put oil on my face after wards. it clogs my pores and makes me break out. so id recommend doin the same if you break out easily.

Have you ever tweezed your eyebrows? Well if you have the pain from tweezing is a lot worse. Waxing isn't really all that painful. It will hurt for a couple seconds when they first pull off the hair but it's extremely barable. The pain also depends on how much hair you have. If your eyebrows are hairier that tends to hurt more. Good luck!

Not as much as pulling eyebrows out with tweezers. It does not hurt at all. Waxing makes eyebrows look so perfect and nice. Go for it, you will never pluck the eyebrows again.

If you tweeze your eyebrows then go in for a waxing you will be hooked. It brings tears to my eyes to tweeze, waxing is quick and honestly less painful when you figure in all the tweezing.
I recommend trying it at least once!

It doesn't hurt much at all if done by a professional. Are you in the LA area? If so, Amber @ the Amadeus Spa in Pasadena, CA is very good. I have gone to her for years. Good luck!

Personally, the first 2 times I did it, it wasn't to bad, but my friend who went with me was also a first timer, and she didn't even flinch! So basically, I would say that it all depends on the person, but from what I can say is that it is not to bad at all. I definitely recommend getting it done professionally.

It doesn't hurt that bad. Have them take smaller sections then it won't feel like your eyes are being ripped from the sockets.
