Hola, Princess. I like old movies. There have always been guns in the movies, but not the graphic violence there is now. And not the digital fabrications; they had other, ingenious ways of capturing your imagination, which the digital mimics but in a less satisfactory way because it's so obviously NOT happening like that.

You may want to check out a documentary, "The Bronze Screen: 100 Years of the Latino Image in Hollywood." Netflix, for one, has it.

One person who saw it said, "Grab a pencil as you view this and make a list of films to see. Latinos have been in Hollywood since the beginning. The most revealing insight from this doc (for me) was the profile on Latino writers, directors, and technicians who have always worked in the industry, but are unknown. You get it all here: Rita Hayworth, Cheech Marin, Cesar Romero, Carmen Miranda, "We don need no stinking batches!" [that's from "Treasure of the Sierra Madre"], Dolores Del Rio, Katy Jurado, and on and on!"

Not all movies are CGI animated.

Not all movies contain guns, car chases, and digital effects.

Movies use digital effects because the results look better than real life sometimes (ex. large, fiery explosions) It's also alot cheaper to digitally create a scene then to actually have it acted.

and digital is easier to do then film..
