The Sonics were the team that could offer him the most money. I wish he would have went to Cleveland. They tried to get him or Michael Redd before settling on Larry Hughes.

Money. 5 years, $85 million was more than any other team could offer him, plus Seattle made a decent playoff run right before he got his extension, which the Sonics probably thought they could repeat.

I would assume this.......they gave him the most money, he has a home and family there and at this point in his career, im sure he doesnt want to pack up and move his family around, especially if he has kids. He wont be playing tooooooo much longer im sure
