That's real hard to say. Many college graduates are working at fast food. You have to pick a major that won't die as soon as you get out of school. Online might be better because it seems like the better college are better, but they may drive you out of your mind too, with a lot of stuff you don't need either. Half the majors don't lead to a job, and you may be going to get a job. lol Language you can only teach, you can't learn it in school. Ask department heads at different schools. They usually will tell you frankly that there is no job for Liberal Art, you can't be aliberal artist. Anerican Studies, who will pay you to study American. Science is always good, again ask the people in the departmant, some one will tell the truth some days. Ha
Ask students, student unions, people. I've seen people make six figures with only an AA or not even that, in some IT branches if it's in demand when you get out, not guaranteed. People skills can make all the difference too. Study Emotional Intelligence for that. Personally if you learn the new information on intuition, and old information for that matter, you won't have a job, but a passion which will take you around the world and you'll be good at whatever you do. Be great and they'll give you all the honorary degrees you want , but you end up studying just about as much. You can also learn about people out here, sort of on the job training .Ha They say that any field you go into creativity is important in the future. They are even hiring some Masters of Fine Arts for business besides MBAs. If you are having trouble it may also be that you are more creative and you can play both ways part-time and correspondance. I think you can take your time with correspondance and Internet.

Having a college degree does not make you smart it means you worked hard. Colleges look for personality, character traits and abilities not just intelligence. As for going back if you find it too hard then spread out you re studies over a longer period of time. Go part time. It will take longer but may make it easier. True you might be held back some in the road of life without a degree but lots of people never went and came out fine. I never graduated until recently ( I am 43 ) but still led a rich and interesting life before then. (Bill Gates for example never went ) A degree is only a tool and if you have not a good heart then a degree is nothing.

I say go for it. You can always take fewer classes, get a tutor, and figure out some more efficient study skills.
Being the smartest person has got nothing to do with succeeding in college. Sure, it can make it easier at times, but if you're motivated and committed, you can do well.
Besides, it sounds like you've learned a lot about yourself from the first experience of going to college. Perhaps you can use that info to better succeed this time around.
I say do it.

Hello, angel r!
Yes, I would definitely come back, and I tell you why. And I am not taking of future rewards or money or security or something like that. I am talking about why you can handle any college right now. Well, simply because the least smart person on earth can handle part-time classes. If you are too busy or feel down in any semester, take two classes, take one class only....Believe me, there is huge different between going full-time and going part-time.
I graduated from college taking most of the time two classes only (and sometimes one class) due to other responsibilities. I think that only one time or two times I took a semester via full-time load...and I didn't like it. Too stressful! On the other hand, taking classes part-time allowed me to share my time more efficiently, not to mention that I got better grades while studying part-time.
Of course, the other folks here talk about the future rewards, and I definitely agree with them. But if college scares you, particularly via full-time load, please, go part-time and test the warters. Believe me, you will say, "Wow, this is not as hard as it appears".
Best of luck,
CAL "Makberto"

College does not only make you smartef but what you get most of it is that education give you option in life. You dont have to put up working in places that make you unhappy and miserable because with education you go as far as where you want to be.
Go back to college, if you cannot afford it go part time and work full time. If that is too hard, there are many available options for students just ask a counselor. Goodluck

If you want to, go. But there are jobs out there where you can succeed without getting a college degree. Here in Alberta, Canada, we are really short in trades (welders, electricians, plumbers, etc) so a lot of people in that trade make a lot better money than people with college degrees. Of course, in Alberta we are just short of employees in general... too many job openings, not enough people. It can suck sometimes. Of course the alternative isn't so great either.
