You want to be happy, lift your burdens. Take these things to the cross. Settle them with God. "Ye must be born again" "Except a man be born again, he can not see the kingdom of God." Save yourself a lot of trouble and take my advice. Go to an Independent, Fundemental, Baptist Church, or a Bible Church, and ask the preacher what it is to be born again. Go a listen to the preaching and see how it affects you heart. Do you think that God is calling you out of this world? Is God pulling on you heart strings? There is only one way to find out for sure. I can tell you that today I am so glad that I can rest easy in the fact that I am saved by the blood of the crucified one. What a wonderful thing it is to be saved. It changed my life completely. I wish I would have done this years ago. You want real happiness that last and won't leave you? You need to get saved too. Take this advise, because it sounds to me like everything else you have tried has failed. It always will, but the promise of God endureth forever. A-men.

Happiness is thought to be the by product of leading a balanced, productive life. Contribute to the society that provides for you, then enjoy yourself with friends, lovers, family. Have some interests, hobbies or activities you like doing. Eat healthily and exercise daily.

Go through the motions. PRETEND for awhile. PRETEND to be happy. Get busier, see more people, clean your home and have three people over for a formal dinner, decorate something every day in your home, get a new haircut, mend some clothes, write letters to cheer the elderly and drop them off at a nursing home, play with toddlers, grow a beloved plant, watch the stars at night and learn about them, stop listening to all music for awhile, stay alert, exercise, eat right, get eight hours sleep a night, make a list of one hundred things you want to DO before you die, start a paper file of pictures of something you want to buy or make (for me, it's houseboats), have sex, give plenty of hugs to people every day, clean one drawer out every day, let more light into your home, turn off the television for one hundred years, read one chapter a night of biographies, start self-teaching yourself about a language, do sudoku puzzles, make a quilt, bake bread to give to a lonely neighbor, volunteer, walk in Nature every day after evening meal, spend time in peaceful solitude every day, brush your teeth three times a day and maintain schedules for other basic activities of normal life, raise a pet, force yourself to laugh out loud three times a day for three minutes just like taking medicine, fall in love.
