I have been at my job for 2 years.. I'm a waitress.. this lady that is friends with my boss came back to work for her after leaving for a year, and told my boss that she needed hours. Well one of my night shifts were taken from me and givin to her.. for no reason. What do you think I should do?

It's obviously NOT FAIR if ya wanna keep your job though.......say nothing. Life is not fair...and I am sorry

Unfortunatly there is nothing illegal about what your employer has done. It might not be fair, but its not illegal. Try talking to them and ask them about your hours, see if it is a long term or short term thing. If it is a long term thing and you are really needing the hours you might need to look into another job.

file for unemployment because your hours were cut not because you being at fault you may qualify
