I'm about Paris Hilton's height (5'10.5) and wear a 12 shoe. Yes, I know that's considered gigantic by society's standards, and everyone makes a huge fuss about Paris Hilton wearing asize 11. But if you're almost 6 feet tall, isn't having a larger foot necessary in order to walk by the laws of physics? shouldn't a woman's foot size be relative to her length and not jugded against women who are 5'6 and under? never understood why people make such a huge fuss over the fact that tall women having larger feet

I also happen to know other tall women with the same shoe size 11-12.
By the way, for the person who said my aunt is 5'11 and wears a size 9-9, or 10- 10 and above is considered above average size by today's standards. I don't think that's much different than from an 11, 12 or even 13.
My point is that the taller you are, naturally, the larger your foot size is- it's just a rule of nature! 11range of shoe size is really not than uncommon anymore people and a lot of companies are making those taller sizes because women are getting taller and hence need larger shoes!!

People sometimes respond to this question even though it was posted a long time ago. Well... apparently some people think larger feet is a bad thing on women, even tall women. Thanks to those people for making me and other women who have 10+ feet feel bad !! (Rolls eyes) I still say that having larger feet if you are taller looks proportional to your height and does not look bad! We have to learn as society to accept people in all shapes and sizes! and beauty comes in all forms!

Don't really care about Paris H or her feet. Yes, tall women have larger feet. No big deal!!! Lucky you for being tall!!!! I'm 5'4 and would DIE to be your height. I wouldn't care if I wore a size 15 shoe. Lucky you!!!

RE:
Why is Paris Hilton's size 11 feet considered a big deal or on any tall woman for that matter?

My BFF is 5'11 and wears a size 11/12, and her shoes are generally cute! I don't know if people "grow" into their feet, I think they just are the way they are. I am 5'6 and wear a size 10, which is also a big shoe size...I've learned to deal. And I can't shop at Lady Footlocker anymore, lol. If I really want to wear a cute shoe that's a size 9, then I have to compromise pleasure and cuteness for pain, lol. It sucks but oh well... And hey, if Paris Hilton is 5'8 and a size 11 and people consider her hot, then you can definitely rock your 11.5's! Go get 'em tiger! LOL

I haven't really heard any fuss over women having big feet... an honestly I don't think I would care what people who judge others based on the size of their feet say. Sounds rather shallow and judgemental.. you should be proud and strut with those size 12 shoes!

I don't think it matters at all....when I was younger people used to want to have big feet and I wear a size 10 and im 5'8. I like having big feet...but seriously shoe sizes don't matter one bit- they're feet!

I am 5'2" tall and shoe size ranges from 4 1/2 to 5, depending on the style. Guess we have the same problem in reverse. I still have people tell me " you sure have little feet". Yes I do and I will have them for the rest of my life. Regardless of feet size and height, the laws of physics does not apply. I saw a man who had no legs, he walks on his hands. Ignore people who see only your feet, they are always looking down, so until they can look up, they do not see the best in a person anyway.

Well, Chris Pronger, who is in the NHL is super tall 6'5" I think he is, and he has super small feet. So its not just a woman's thing. Most women have tiny feet, so when something not the norm such as 11 size feet then of course people are going to say something.
