K. Here's what's on my workout playlist:

- BT - Simply Being Loved (Somnambulist Remix)
- Justin Timberlake - My Love (Paul Oakenfold Remix)
- Gigi D'Agostino - I'll Fly With You
- Livin' Joy - Dreamer (Original Club Mix)
- Paul Van Dyk - Nothing But You (Club Mix)
- Moony - Dove (I'll Be Loving You)
- Pet Shop Boys - New York City Boy
- Bini & Martini - Burning Up (Original Mix) (This was one of my favorite step aerobics class songs.)
- Planet Funk - Chase the Sun (Extended Club Mix)

Actually, all the songs on this particular "Dance Nation" album are super good for aerobics (and no swearing, as far as I know), but I forget what series it is. I'll look it up on Amazon and get back to you.

The album is "Dance Nation 2001" mixed by Pee-Wee and GT (it's Australian, but it's on Amazon used for like $7). There are two discs, and disc 2 is the one with the good exercise list.

We used to do butt lifts to Pour Some Sugar On Me by Def Leppard.

Then there is C+C Music Factory and other dance artists like Paula Abdul, Madonna.

The Motown artists would be good, whether you are talking about cardio, warmup, or cooldown. Other 50's music would be good too, like Leader of the Pack.

Latin music, even instrumental would get you moving.

New age or "spa" music for cooldowns and stretches.

Power rock anthems like Rocky Theme, Eye of the Tiger, and Man in Motion.

Beatles!

Show tunes? Personally I hate most but they are upbeat.

Cheesy 80s glam metal like Poison, Bon Jovi.

80s pop like Wang Chung, Safety Dance, Men Without Hats, Mickey.

70s songs like Takin Care of Business, We're an American Band, Rock and Roll Fantasy, More than a Feeling, Roll with the Changes, Old Time Rock and Roll.

Country music. Boot Scoot Boogie, South's Gonna Do it Again, Prop Me Up Behind the Jukebox if I Die, Standing Outside the Fire. Related would be bluegrass and fiddle music. My goodness. Toes a'tappin!

Disney and other kids songs! check out Trashin the Camp, Hakuna Matata, Just Can't Wait to be King.

Caribbean, African, Irish (Enya would be an excellent cooldown or stretch).but the jigs and reels would get you going.

Big band is very up tempo.

Rappers like Will Smith, Arrested Development are clean with good beats. Some rappers are clean or the radio edit is clean.

If you are Christian, some praise and worship music is very upbeat...and inspiring lyrics as well.

Check out a world beat artist named WES. His song Alane is in French and is impossible to listen sitting still.

There may even be a music channel on your digital cable or satellite system, or XM or Sirius radio station that can give you more ideas. They get pretty specific in their themes.

When you go to discount stores, there are often CD's in the candle section, you know? Where you can sample a couple tracks right there in the store? They usually have a workout CD.

Well, I'm not sure if its "beats" will "pump" you sufficiently, but as part of Nike's new Original Run campaign, they commissioned LCD Soundsystem to make a 45 minute song that is intended to increase in intensity as the workout progresses. The song is called 45:33 and is available only as a digital download from iTunes.
