Do you think Kurt Cobain was murdered or killed? Why?

I am inclined to believe he committed suicide because he wanted to join the "27 club." As I understand it, this is what his own mother said. He wanted to be in league with Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, and Jimi Hendrix, who all died at the age of 27.

Murdered and killed mean much the same, but I believe Kurt committed suicide while high on drugs. Had he not been on drugs he may have spared his own life to watch his daughter grow up. It is a shame he didn't. A very talented musician, yes, but a long-time addict as well. Why would anyone murder Cobain? For what purpose? I do not believe that there is some kind of conspiracy. The man was involved with chemicals that highly altered his brain and he shot himself. Very sad - and very sad for Courtney (however you or I feel about her) and Frances. I could not imagine the trauma of knowing your own father killed himself.

Here's my theory...brace your selves Nirvana fans, this might disturb you a bit. I think Kurt Cobain was having a secret gay relationship with Michael Stipe of R.E.M. I think Courtney found out and was threatening to go public with it and Kurt didn't know what to do and in a drug, stress/anxiety filled moment thought it was the only way out.

According to Cobain's telephone records, Stipe was the last person called before the suicide occurred. When questioned about the call Stipe stated they talked about Stipe's pizza recipe. Seems like a strange thing to talk about right before you shoot your self.

Murdered. Musicians are really deep people sometimes. I mean with all that talent, he was a very special person. Kind of like Van Gogh who also killed himself...

I think that if you look hard enough into things you will find a conspiracy theory in everything. The man shot himself, i would too if i lived with courtney love. Jimmy hendrix choked on his own vomit janis joplin died of a drug overdose etc etc.... the age of 27 is a total coincidence.
