Large and cheap place to rent for gigs?

Does anybody know any places that is large and suitable for gigs and more importantly,cheap in singapore? me and my friend are planning to hold our own gig sometime soon.

You can play for free at Cathay, 2nd floor, Ben and Jerry's ice cream place. It's the latest and coolest place.
