I've had the same problem! What I've done is put a few glurbs of the softner in a glass jar and add hot water. Shake it until you see that the softner has "reconstituted" itself, then pour into rinse cycle. Works fine.

I'd beware of using the blender...might make your blender yucky and smelly for any food you use in the future, not to mention contaminate the food. Just sayin..............

I did this a few times as I have to go to laundromat to wash., I blend a half cup of vinegar and half cup of Warm water in a blender with fabric softener till creamy. You need to do in small batches till done or will fry your blender.. when all is done make sure cap and bottle completely cleaned out and pour back in bottle. let it set for 24 hours and shake well before each use. The softener will be like reg softener. so will need to use a bit more.( Note: softener will be foamy when first blended so need to allow to sit 24 hour before use. I use a 34oz bottle of softener easier to carry in and out.If you have bigger bottle adjust accordingly)

Cold water works fine, if globs are too hard put it in the blender.

Hit up the grocery store and buy new fabric softner? Probably your easiest and quickest solution.

I think you cooked it or froze it, and it's probably not going to re-constitute. You could try pouring it into a bowl and stirring it to see of it mixes back together.
