chew??(tobacco)?

Question

i used to chew, and i was never addicted, becuase i went days and weeks without chewing, and there are alot of ppl who say its addictive, was wasnt i?

I used to dip when I was in 7th grade. I did it for about 6 months to a year. I didn't get addicted but I felt the 'buzz'. It is very addictive because it contains nicotine and you actually absorb more nicotine into your bloodstream with chewing tobacco than with smoking cigarettes. It took me at least 2 years to fully become addicted to cigarettes where I was no longer able to stop for days or weeks at a time. Even though chewing tobacco is highly addictive, it may take a long time for someone to actually become addicted and they would most likely have to be doing it daily - not going days or weeks without it at a time. Because you didn't say how long you did it, it doesn't seem so strange that you did not become addicted.
