Of course that would depend on the cause of the high blood pressure. Diet can lower blood pressure caused by being overweight. If your blood pressure is caused by hypertension or any other physical ailment, your best advice is going to come from a doctor. There are even a few holistic doctors who can advise you on diet, exercise and herbal remedies.

There are two natural remedies for high blood pressure.

1. Lose Weight; if you are fat your heart has to work harder to pump blood through all that excess skin and fat. If you reduce your weight (by diet, exercise, surgery or a combination) then reduce the strain on your heart.

2. Lower your stress in life. Stress causes you to release hormones like adrenaline. Adrenaline creates the "flight or fight" response. It forces the heart to beat faster and work harder which increases the blood pressure.

If you reduce your cholesterol level then you can reduce the plaque in your bloodstream. This plaque is like scales on a pipe, and its effect is like a clog in a pipe. To make the blood flow higher pressures are needed.

So why is high blood pressure a problem. Your heart is a collection of muscles and like any muscle when you work it harder it grows. The problem with the heart is that it still has to beat inside your chest, which remains pretty constant in size. So a larger heart is going to have a harder time beating. This only increases the strain on the heart. When the heart is overstressed like this there is a much better chance that one of the muscles can fail, which is a heart attack.

As you age and put more wear and tear on your body your blood vessels have to take all this strain and some of them wear a little thin. Normally this isn't too bad, but if your blood pressure is high then it becomes a problem as some of these blood vessels can pop. When it happens in a heart blood vessel you have a stroke, when it happens inside a blood vessel in your brain you have a brain stroke. The brain is well packed and protected inside the skull, there is little room for swelling. A popped blood vessel in another part of the body causes a bruise as the blood flows under the skin. In the brain there is nowhere for this blood to go. One common means of dieing is when the brain is bruised and the blood pressure inside it gets so high that it cuts off blood pressure to parts of the brain. Starve any part of the brain of its vital oxygen supply for over 5 minutes will kill that part of the brain. Someone who has a stroke can be paralyzed, or suffer brain damage. If the brain damage is severe enough then the brain can no longer keep the body running properly and it dies. So strokes can kill, and you increase your risk of having a stroke with high blood pressure. If you have a stroke in the heart then you are killing heart muscle, which brings on a heart attack.

Okay now you know how dangerous a stroke is, so what are its signs and symptoms? So minor that you will never notice. I have high blood pressure and once when I ran out of my medication I felt a tad bit more nervous than normal. That is the only sign that my blood pressure was in the dangerous zone. If you are under any kind of stress you will never know it. The only way to detect high blood pressure is with a blood pressure cuff. Now days they make electric ones that self inflate and automatically read your blood pressure. You can find these at any drug store or a large store like Wal-Mart.

High blood pressure is called the silent killer because most people don’t notice it until they have a stroke and that can create a heart attack or put enough pressure on your brain that it can kill you before you can get to the hospital. It is vital to get to the hospital as soon as possible after having a stroke. If you get then within the hour then clot busting drugs might be able to prevent brain damage or a heart attack. But, you have to be able to tell the doctors when you had the stroke. If you are unconscious you can’t do that.

The simplest way to prevent high blood pressure is to check it regularly; it should be around 120/80. If it over 5 points higher then you need to see a doctor for help. With all the danger of having high blood pressure, and the easy way to detect and prevent it, only a fool lets his own blood pressure kill him. Get your blood pressure checked and do it often. Most drug stores have a free blood pressure machine, so there is no excuse. If you need to buy a blood pressure cuff you can get an automatic one for less than $50.

Meditation will give you a dramatic improvement in controlling blood pressure. It is better than anything else.

You can take light exercises and try garlic, they lowers your cholestrol level.

You can lose weight and control all sorts of thing, but if you dont control mental anxiety and stress, bp would remain high.

Mind control or MEDITATION will make you feel in heaven!

She has also been drinking celery juice.

The only difference if you ask me is that she is really stinky now! at least vampires wont get her i guess.
