Do you think the technology shown on the tv show was reasonable, too futuristic, not futuristic enough?

In a word, "Yes". I thought the show was more science fiction than fact. I am sure that some of these things will become a reality but in just the way they depicted them - No. I only watched the first one on the body, but I didn't tune in for the rest when I saw how unrealistic it was. For example, I think we will use robotic arms to help us with surgery, but why would the surgeons want to stay that far away from the body even if they don't have to touch it themselves? I can see them using robots as an aid but not to replace human participation fully. And by that time I am sure they will find a way to prevent germs from being passed.

It seemed like the show depicted a political dimension to the future as well as a technological one. When the doctor found out the man's drug test did not match his former results she ordered a search of his property and home. I felt that was a violation of some of his rights and circumvented any police involvement. Big brother is watching! They always want to make the future look that way and it just doesn't happen.

Also, the flying cars are a great idea but it is fraught with too many problems. I can see them being used by police, fire and rescue services by 2057, but we're a more than 50 years off from trusting the average person with them and working around the logistical and financial issues that stand in its way. After all, how long have we had alternate fuel sources for vehicles and we still use fossil fuels? There is a lot of money being made on the things we use now. To switch over to something new is threatening to the powers that make money off of the older technologies and they will do what they can to make developing the new automotive advancements prohibitive. Just my .02.

In 1957 they said by now we would all have flying cars. I'll believe it when I see it.
