No I was at the game, Manu was very stupid; that dumb a s s disgrace to Argentina :( anyways he punches his own nose when he falls. Its funny because during the time-out like 3 times, they showed Manu's fist hitting is own nose. It was hilarious!! I've lost respect for Manu now

I watched the YouTube clip, I wasn't at the game. The contact looked intentional. He is done with his shot movement, then he makes a whole different move with his arm for the contact. I might believe that the contact was meant to be part of some acting to try and draw a foul off of a clean block, however, I don't really think he could expect that to work.

I live in L.A. I want the Lakers to win more than any other team, but I think Kobe hit Ginobili intentionally.

Yes, Kobe is a very dirty player who get's away with whatever he wants. If this would have been Ron Artest he would have been suspended 30 games.
With Mike Bibby in the playoffs about 4 years ago he bloodied Bibby with a elbow in front of the referee and no foul was called ?
The former Knicks player Chris Child punched Kobe right in the face for being disrespectful, Last year Mike Miller got the Kobe elbow to the face and let's not forget Reggie Miller before he retired also got into a fight with Kobe for this type of dirty play.
And remember that Raja Bell had to put Kobe in his place for these elbows. So was Manu hit on purpose of course he was but Laker fans will deny it. How many more people have to get hit by Kobe's elbows ? These incidents will repeat themselves again, and 1 day Kobe is going to get KTFO for elbowing.

I don't think it was intentional for Kobe to hit him. It looked like it was just a reaction from the shot being blocked. Kobe may have tried to exaggerate the contact so the official would call a shooting foul. But I don't think there was any intentional harm. I saw Kobe go over to him and ask if he was ok a few minutes after the play. Manu should be ok, he takes a lot of beatings from a lot of players.

Flagrant ugly foul. Contact to face was not incidental. I'm a fan of players who raise the level of the game, like Nash and Boykins who do much with little. From the YouTube clip (one angle), it seems intentional to me and the league agreed. Kobe and Shaq do have a way of following through with elbows after the fact, dating back to Laker days together--part of the game? Bryant is focused on making the shot and thought he was clear. Once thwarted, #24's throws arm unnaturally to the right to repel the defender. Watch it for yourself. If instant replay was used, I can see how it could have been a flagrant foul ejection, with technical free throws for Spurs for possible win in regulation. May be a "man's game" but this was ugly retaliation for a clean block. My two cents.

well im a neutral guy here i dont root for either the lakers or spurs. but i do think it was accidental even though it doesnt look like it. i mean the spurs or manu didnt go after kobe or call him out or anything and it was right in front of the spurs bench so i think it was accidental. but ill tell you one thing, horry got fouled shooting that 3.

I was at the Laker game today at Staples Center.

Ginobili was not intentionally hit by Kobe! I was fairly close to the play

It was a great game, and San Antonio deserved to win

I'm pretty sure he didn't because it just looked like a follow through of his shot. Either that or Ginobili tried to draw a foul because you could tell Kobe was suprised also.

Probably, Kobe has been known to do stuff like that. He's done that kind of thing to Mike Bibby in the playoffs a couple of years ago.

I think from the angle on TV its too hard to tell. I think that players like Kobe play tough and when that happens people will get hurt.
