me and my bf have been together for almost 3 years... his ex (who is still in love with my bf) is trying to get back with him by making my life miserable... my bf is getting annoyed by him too. Is there anything I can do (besides fist fighting him) ti keep him away?

Restraining order. That's what girls do. And why doesn't your boyfriend just flat out tell him to get the hell out of his life?

Yes, there is something you can do. Simply ignore him unless he touches you or your boyfriend. A restraining order (usually) isn't worth the paper its printed on and sometimes (sadly) sends a mixed message (to the receiver) not from the sender! But these sick people sometimes see's it as a way of "hanging on," meaning "he STILL notices me." Meaning, I still affect him IN HIS LIFE, so I'm making a difference! Then, they keep on.

Just make sure you let him SEE how happy you are together (OVER EXAGGERATE IT FOR HIM) just so he can SEE you love each other! If he doesn't get the picture then, just start taking photos of him going wherever you are (all the time), by taking these to the police they will show a pattern of following and harrassment, giving them a 'reason' to talk to him. Just calling the police is usually just good for a complimentary ear, without proof.

If it gets really out of control-call the cops on him and even get a restraning order...

Otherwise, a confrontation is in order with your bf and his ex. He needs to spell out that HE IS NOT INTERESTED SO BACK OFF. Your bf should be speaking up more and putting a stop to this instead of just "getting annoyed by him too". This ex of his is trying to ruin your life on account of HIM, so HE needs to do something about it to protect you and the relationship. This is his and he's ex's battle, not yours.

To be very honest I at one point in my life was like your boyfriends ex (until I grew up & matured). The best thing you BOTH can do & believe me it will get to him is simply ignore him. But if you feel threatned in any way call the police. But most importantly is to have your boyfriend tell him right in front of you that he's no longer interested. In my case it was tell me one thing tell her another, which isn't fair to anyone.

Yes, it's called a restraining order. You and your boyfriend get one first thing tomorrow morning if you both mean anything you say.

Your boyfriend needs to tell him it is over and to leave the two of you alone. Worst case, the two of you together should tell him so he sees that you are the new boyfriend
