I know that both partners usually make mistakes in relationships that end, and they learn from the experience, but why did Kid Rock re-marry Pam Anderson for example?

Let me add that I am a firm believer in the idea it takes two people to have a bad relationship: if one person has dependency issues, then the other has co-dependency issues, and that's what held them together in dysfunction. Sometimes it's really screwed up (e.g Elizabeth Taylor & Richard Burton).

One thing I am sure of is it's hard enough to change yourself without having somebody else's problems dragging you back into the hole you climbed out of, and when your history includes that hole (dysfunctional dynamic), it just seems like it would be easier to move on, improve yourself, and attract a healthier person into your life.

cause they are stupid, and they don't learn the first time

It's really stupid. I did it, married the same man TWICE. I was married to this person for 20 yearsand we had three children together. I stayed at home and raised the children, kept the house and maintained peace, mostly by stiffiling my feelings. The only money I knew about was the grocery allowance he gave me. I never worked. He was the provider and I forgot how to think for myself.

Unfortunately he was not a good father, in fact, quite mean, and I began expressing myself and being assertive to protect my children from emotional abuse. He kept swearing he would change but did not so after all these tries it finally ended.

As frightened as I was my children and I made it. The scars are their and I regret not ending it the first time but life goes on. Why did I keep trying? Fear, lack of confidence, sense of inferiority, and security. It was a long time until I realized this was considered abuse. I pray other women in this situation will realize they are a real person and no matter what psychological effect the relatiion had on them it is only a figment of their imagination stemming from years of trying to please others to their own detriment.

Only those 2 know why they remarried but as for normal people. Couples usually remarry when an understanding has been re-established between them or whatever problem there was between them is no longer an issue for example, alcoholism, drugs, gambling, or cheating. But the biggest factor in why couples remarry is forgiveness. However for them they were probably bored and needed the publicity.

Alot of times you've grown up and had time to think of your past mistakes and problems. Could be the first time around there were too many problems and alot of stress. And, yes, forgiveness is another thing.
