If unused vacation days are sold back to a company, does the spouse have the right to say how much he or she can keep?

I don't see why not. It is their vacation time. It is their time away from work to relax, forget about work, etc. If you are going to argue over that, your marriage will not last.

I, when I was married, would work side jobs in the evening and weekends. My salary from work would go to all the bills, kids, house, etc. What I made moonlighting was put to these items as well. But, I also kept some of it for myself. If you are going to work long hours, you have to get something out of it. Even if it is something little, your hard work has to pay off at some point.

Now, in the event you salary(ies) covers all thos bills, I don't see why the vacation money can't be split. But,who gets what %age should be decided by the one who is selling the vacation time.

The spouse sounds pretty controlling. I would say no.

its your job time that you saved
tell them to get a job of there own then they can tell you how and what to do with your vaction time
